At the start of what turned out to be the wettest June in recorded meteorological history, we were lucky to have a dry, if overcast, day for this outing into Langdale. | |||||
The "A" walkers did wide circuit starting and finishing at the New Langdale Hotel, taking in Blea Tarn, Hollin Crag, High Tilberthwaite, Little Langdale, Skelwith Bridge then back along the main Langdale valley via Elterwater and Chapel Stile | |||||
The 'C-' group started from Skelwith Bridge and headed off along Little Langdale in the direction of Wrynose Pass, There turning north toward Blea Tarn and finally , Old Dungeon Gill. | |||||
The "B" walk also started in Skelwith Bridge and headed south to climb over Black Fell then via Colwith Force, Stang End Little Langdale and back to the Langdale Hotel | |||||
